You have to get the file down to 500MB before uploading. You can do that by splitting up the file into separate videos that you upload separately. You can also edit the videos. I've been editing mine down to 4 minutes or under, editing out the "lulls" or slow parts. There's an old saying "less is more". Also, you can also get familiar with your editing software. HD level and quality levels can be adjusted and they will tell you what the MB size will be once uploaded. I advise getting some software to aid you in this.
