Great article. I think there maybe another category of jobber to add and it is somewhere between the masochist and the slave. Id call it something like: “Cannon Fodder”. A semi-willing target that thinks paying his dues will pay off someday and that is dupped into thinking he is part of the industry as an equal where in reality, he’s a doormat..a joke to the other alpha heels who get off on bullying and abusing the poor sap. This continues until the ruined jobbber quits in disgrace after throwing away 4-5 years of his life by being humiliated and used as a practice dummy week after week..hoping the bosses will give him a shot where in reality, they want to keep him in the crowd pleasing role because it will be too tough to find another hot bodied (or fat slob) idiot dumb enough to drink the cool aid. :)

I have difficulty expressing the exact mental/emotional mechanics of it, but I become aroused when I think about receiving gut punishment, with fists, knees, feet, blunt objects, whatever. How often do you get the opportunity to threaten and abuse another human being without guilt or worry about consequences? Actually, do you have any reason to believe I'm not the person I describe in the above role? I also think if someone with a sadistic streak or who simply needs to release frustration, uses me as a convenient victim, it's more likely that no innocent person suffers.

As a jobber I like to dodge a heavier opponent just to see my kicks having no effect on the taller brute who grabs me mercilessly, bearhug or choke me then drags me to the ground while i try to evade struggling to avoid grapevine pinor submisions.
