A good bear hug always helps weaken an opponent. That small amount of pressure to lessen the ability to get a deep breath slowly takes the fight out of an opponent. Especially if they are already winded.
I must admit enjoy delivering or receiving forearm smashes at moderate force as part of the 'weakening' part of a RL bout at some point to knacker out opponent and open opportunities for a real sub. Even more so when targeting the back as seen here , all designed for back submissions.
Do you like to throw in some rougher stuff too if going for real subs?

i love that kind of action. Also elbow smashes - to gut when he's locked in an abstretch, and on arm/shoulder when the arm is stretched out.
