As a jobber, part of my satisfaction is seeing a true heel get excited as he pounds away at me. My goal is to see how long I can take punishment and test my limits. With 2 minute rounds with my gloved hands tied behind my back I can last longer. When the punches are becoming unbearable, if I know there are only 30 seconds before a momentary break, I will take the pain rather than surrender. As my heel hits harder and faster and sees the pain on my face, I love seeing the crack of a smile and the glint in his eyes that tell me he's turned on. A true mutual experience.

Interesting group my friends. I've met and/or chatted with you each of you multiple times over. PunchingBagWanted is correct. It takes a guy that is truly into his craft to deliver the kind of beating a jobber or "Punch Chump" (a term friend of mine recently came up with) really wants. I'm a trained Boxer and Leatherman thus I incorporate a lot of what a "Dom" leatherman does in his scenes/sessions. I read my "Punch Chump's" reactions and body language to every punch I throw. I vary my punching power and make sure not to end it too quick. I start slow then slowly build up in sections pushing my "Punch Chump" higher and higher each time with crunching hooks, punishing body shots and ripping uppercuts till the final crushing KO. By this time my "Punch Chump" is begging me with a yearning in his eyes for the final shot because he's more than ready and has fully surrendered himself to me.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's about being good at giving or receiving. One can be good. At either or both. To me, what sets someone off from the average guy is whether or not he is PASSIONATE about his craft of giving or receiving. Does he feel it with his opponent /victim, or is he just going through the motions. Intensity, conviction, and fortitude in his work is key to any exceptional heel, or jobber for that matter. Enjoy in the moment.

I can truly say I like both equally. In fact experiencing one helps you to be better at the other. when you know how a punch you're throwing feels, you just more deeply know what's going on. Which makes it hotter.
