The trap claw and the pec claw are the hottest holds in Pro Wrestling. They can be devastating if applied correctly.

Do you both go together or take turns? Sounds exciting either way. Except for #3. Carotid artery gets compressed, and you can be out for the count pretty quick.

Otherwise, love any and all grip/strength type tests though (e.g. mercy game, Indian wrestling, etc.), and the Handshake contest would be right up my alley. Last, but certainly not least, trap and pec claw are always intense and always tops on my list. I'd love those.

I've done it both ways. I think same time/together is more fun. #3 is about the trapezius muscle and not the carotid. The trapezius can make you woosy too after awhile, but it's not intended to be a sleeper. Who wants to come to chicago and play!

'''#4 we stand next to each other and see who can make the other beg mercy with a back of neck squeeze.

'''I meant #4 of course. Unless you have some different way to squeeze the back of the neck (that comes to my mind) without touching the artery.

Anyway, the rest of them are spot on. I'd love to play this game. Provided you get a challenger that is stubborn. After all, you don't want an opponent that immediately gives up the moment he gets the first hint of pain. That's no fun. No fun at all.

AH ok. That makes more sense. The idea isn't to include the artery in the grip, but more the suboccipital nerves and muscles to create pain and some immobility. It can be very intense. Also depending the difference in the two guys, you might not be able to access the arteries that way anyway. For example I have a 16 inch neck. Not every guy has big enough hands to access the arteries from gripping the nape. Ironically a guy with small hands can more naturally get right into the pressurepoints very effectively. Now for those interested in playing the game with me... who have big hands... we can discuss the potential of your carotid advantage.... Volcano...are you reading this... bwhahahaha

anytime! bring it on! I'd LOVE a claw holds contest with you! I sometimes play a game called The Four Mercies. #1 we shake hands and see who can make the other beg mercy with a handshake. #2 we face each other and pec claw and see who can make the other beg mercy with a pec claw. #3 we face each other and see who can make the other beg mercy with a shoulder/trap claw. #4 we stand next to each other and see who can make the other beg mercy with a back of neck squeeze. If one player gets all four mercies, its called a Mercy Sweep and can put whatever hold they want on the other guy. Wanna play?
