Speedos. There is just something about the feeling of putting on speedos or tight briefs while preparing to wrestle.

what about bikini briefs?

Agreed, speedos or smaller for me.

Speedo anytime.

Nude is preferred but have some very tight black briefs that I use.

When I started recreational wrestling I wore a long on the leg singlet-then a friend offered me trunks -then my boss gave me a thong-MOST PAINFUL-and now I have briefs/singlets and most popular NUDE! (Less laundry for me NUDE it is!

Yeah! He was married with kids but I babysat the kids sometimes (and we were having sex every now and then) he knew if my ‘hobby’

I think the main difference is just modesty or comfort level, I have wrestled in singlets, bike/compression shorts, speedos/trunks, briefs and nude, and unless your doing a rip n strip match the only difference is what you and/or your opponent is comfortable with. Some prefer the skin contact of speedos/briefs, and some prefer the modesty of singlets.

I used to be a contributor on a yahoo group and the FAQ's section it said the general rule of thumb is wear as little as you are comfortable with but no less than.

To Me. A singlet looks like a womans swimsuit.

Some guys are probably wearing women's swimsuits in the pictures I see on here. I think that they think it looks like a pro singlet.

I like clingly boxer briefs.

People often say "Speedo" when they mean any kind of briefs. I find Speedos and Swimwear less comfortable than skimpy underwear and singlets. It depends on how technical you want to get. I am not saying I don't like wrestling in Speedos. I just like singlets a little better.

So is it the material of the singlet or the cut of it that makes it more comfortable? Not as tight?

Most lycra singlets by major manufacturers. You move better and it kinda becomes a 2nd skin. The material more than the cut. I have wrestled in the Cliff Keen "Kurt Angle" lycra singlet. Even though it is an unusual/unique style, it is also very comfortable.

I have the same singlet. It's very comfortable and looks great

Of the two, I would choose the singlet. It is more comfortable and offers more sensitivity, if you enjoy the body contact aspect.

Body contact is what I like AND dislike laundry so NUDE IT IS (if ok with my opponent)

Especially if it's cut low in front and high on the legs

What do you see as pro and cons of wrestling in speedo versus singlet? I have only wrestled in Speedo which I enjoy, but interested in learning advantages of singlet. Again, just speedo versus singlet no “nude is better” comments are needed.

Usually a speedo. I have worn a leotard, like some old pro wrestlers. Thong now and then.
